Our Story
BlueLotus symbolizes eternity, fertility, prosperity & natural beauty.
BlueLotus primarily started with a purpose to promote garments that are made from natural materials that leave minimal or no impact on our environment. More importantly, our aim is to contribute in preserving India’s rare and ancient indigenous skills that are fast fading out due to modernization and industries.
With this philosophy in mind, BlueLotus has partnered with several weavers and artisans all across India who use elementary techniques to create products that are not only original and durable but also superior in quality. The result is that our products are elegant, timeless and unique.
BlueLotus primarily focuses on handlooms that use natural materials such as cotton, silk, khadi etc. Include (but not limited to) hand-painted Kalamkari, Kantha work, Ajrakh, Bandhini and hand-embroidery. We deal with weaves such as Kanjeevaram, Chanderi, Venkatagiri, Benaras etc.
Our fashion line consists of sarees, dupattas, stoles, kurtis, skirts, blouses etc. BlueLotus experiments in fusion techniques and creates unique products combining two or more art-work/weaves.
